Zombiepox Game Review
Zombiepox is a coffee-break action game coded in 48 hours. The premise is simple; your town is overrun by zombies that want to turn you and your friends into them. You control a character dressed in red and must throw brains to convert zombies back to humans.
How To Play
On a player's turn, they draw a card and follow the instructions on it. The cards specify how the ZOMBIEPOX spreads, how many may be vaccinated or cured, and which resources are available to combat it.
Players alternate drawing cards and putting green infection chips as directed on each card. A spread card shows an arrow pointing in the direction that the infection will spread and an outbreak card lists a person. In both cases, each infected person or zombie places a green infection chip on an image that matches the person on the card.
When a player's infection chip is removed, that person cannot be infected for the rest of the game. When a person is cured, that person removes all of their green infection chips and replaces them with red immunization chips.
The player can then use the immunization chips to prevent people from being infected during their next turn, if they have enough. If the number of infection chips is depleted or if the zombie threshold value has been reached, the player loses the game.
The game includes a rubber game mat, 28 ZOMBIEPOX cards, 50 Immunization chips (red), 40 Infection chips (green) and 6 Zombie chips. The game also includes two plastic cases to keep all the pieces organized when they're put away.
